For the 6-part WWII drama A World Divided, Overmind Studios served as the sole VFX vendor and on-set supervisor, delivering 125 shots. The series jumped across locations from New Mexico and China to Russia, Israel, and French Algeria — all shot in Central Europe — requiring constant geographic transformation.
Period cleanup ran throughout — removing power lines, turbines, modern vehicles, and signage, with the anamorphic photography complicating tracking on moving shots. Environmental work included snow additions to summer plates, smoke enhancement, and a nuclear explosion sequence built in EmberGen. We composited in Fusion Studio, handled 3D in Blender, and used SynthEyes and Mocha for tracking. A rolling two-week-per-episode deadline was met with an automated pipeline built on Ramses. We also delivered the complete series graphics package — opening titles, end credits, and all on-screen graphical elements. The work earned a DAfFNE nomination from the German Academy for Television.
